LIFT99 grew out of Garage48, the first startup co-working Hub in Estonia and the organizer of well-known hackathon event series with reach across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Garage48 nonprofit foundation was founded in 2010 and Ragnar Sass (founder of LIFT99) was part of the founding team of Garage48. Many of the key members of the LIFT99 team have been building the local and international startup scene for years, some from within organizations, others as team members of the ecosystem’s “first generation” of startups.

LIFT99 is founded and supported by entrepreneurs with remarkable international successes such as Skype, Bolt, Pipedrive and GungHo and currently has 15 employees, mainly in Estonia and Ukraine.
