Vok Bikes entering the Wall of Fame
We're proud to welcome Vok Bikes to the #EstonianMafia Wall of Fame - and to do it as the first company we invited to the wall ourselves.
Vok Bikes designs and manufactures four-wheeled electric cargo bikes for commercial use. The company was founded in Tallinn in 2019 by three engineers - Indrek Petjärv, Siim Starke and Riho Koop - who had spent six years in e-mobility building racing cars and e-scooters. That work left them with a clear conclusion: nothing on the market was robust enough for the daily grind of commercial city logistics. So they built it themselves.
Why Urban Logistics Needs a Better Vehicle
City centres have changed. Access restrictions, congestion charges, low-emission zones and nowhere to park have made the van an increasingly awkward tool for the job. Individuals have plenty of alternatives to get around a city. Businesses have had almost none.
And the van is often the wrong size to begin with. Vok's figures from London show that 66% of delivery vans run with less than half their cargo space used - while still paying full fuel, parking and congestion costs. Meanwhile, van mileage on urban roads has grown by almost 50% over the past decade.

Built for Business, Not for Commuters
Vok's answer is a right-sized vehicle: close to van-scale capacity in a footprint that fits a cycle lane, engineered to automotive standards so it survives commercial duty cycles.
The range covers three body styles:
Vok S - 420 litres and 150 kg, for dense routes and smaller urban loads.
Vok XL - up to 2 m³ and 200 kg, the workhorse for parcel, food, trades and facilities work.
Vok U - open flatbed and cage variants for grounds, parks and municipal teams.
The engineering is done in-house. Vok's proprietary 4Drive drivetrain brings four-wheel drive, traction control, e-ABS, regenerative braking and over-the-air updates to a vehicle class where none of that was standard. Every Vok runs on two swappable batteries that charge indoors, covers up to 100 km, and needs no driving licence to ride.
Proven on the Street
The operational numbers are what make the case. In a London stress test, Evri recorded 15% more drops per hour than its van fleet - plus 100% uptime with zero servicing across a three-month winter peak. Omniva found Vok 40% more efficient on dense urban rounds. On Vok's own five-year comparison, a Vok XL comes out roughly 64% cheaper than an equivalent small city van, and the payback period has dropped to around four months.
That is why Vok now serves clients in 14 European countries, with the UK as its largest market. Its bikes are on the streets of London, Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Tallinn, working for national postal services and enterprise couriers like Evri and Omniva, food and grocery businesses like Wolt, service firms like Principal Cleaning, and public sector operators including the City of London.
Scaling with Renault Group
2025 was the year the company moved into a different gear. Vok closed a $6 million Series A led by SQM Lithium Ventures, bringing total venture funding past €10 million, and signed a production agreement with Renault Group. In August, the first Vok XL rolled off the line at Renault's Refactory plant in Flins, near Paris - an agreement that scales Vok's production capacity tenfold, with mass production starting in 2026. Building closer to the UK, France and Benelux cuts both lead times and transport emissions.
In 2026 the company also launched Vok Ride in London, a rental service with contracts from six months including insurance, GPS tracking and quarterly servicing - so a business can switch away from vans without buying a fleet.
Impact Close to Home
Vok's international growth is impressive, but its impact is just as visible here in Tallinn: Omniva parcels are moving around the city on VOK cargo bikes. That matters to us. We want to celebrate companies whose growth also improves the environment they grow in. Wider use of cargo bikes in urban logistics means less car traffic, fewer emissions and less strain on the city - and a cleaner, greener place to live and work.
Why We Invited Vok Bikes
In previous years, every company on the Wall of Fame applied to be there. We assessed the application against our criteria and decided whether to extend the invitation.
Earlier this year, we decided to change our approach - to actively spot successful, fast-growing Estonian startups ourselves and invite them onto the wall. We were delighted to make Vok Bikes the first company invited under this new approach.
What caught our attention was above all the strength of Vok's international growth and the scale of its ambition. The 2025 Series A and the Renault Group partnership in France together create a solid foundation for scaling production further, and public sources show revenue growing very quickly over the past few years.
